Joann Cobb Giles

Joann Cobb Giles, 85, died on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her son's home in Blountville, Tennessee. She was born December 1, 1940, to the late Spencer Lamar and Hazel Warner Cobb.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, George Lawrence Giles.

She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Spencer Giles (Sandy) of Blountville, Tennessee and David Calvin Giles (Becca) of Lexington, Kentucky; two grand-daughters, Alyssa Nicole Good (Jacob) of Jonesborough, Tennessee and Kara Renee Giles (Matthew) ; three great-grandchildren, Everleigh Cove Mullins, Oakley Jane Good, and Rhett Douglas Good all of Jonesborough, Tennessee; one sister, Sonia Joyce Blackford of Nicholasville, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Louise Giles of Carrollton, Kentucky; one nephew, Todd Giles (Emily) of Union, Kentucky ; three nieces, Lisa Jo Borders (Glen) of Versailles, Kentucky, Laura Susan Blackford of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Becky Woods (Jeff) of Carrollton, Kentucky; Becky Woods (Jeff) of Carrollton, Kentucky and Jill (Joel) Damron of Midway, Kentucky; cousins, Jenny Lynn Reinhart (John) of Louisville, Kentucky and Betty Sue Montrosse of Albemarle, North Carolina.

The family would like to thank Silver Angels for the excellent care she received, especially from her caregiver, Malerie Garber. We would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice of Kingsport.
