Joe Edgar Jennings

Joe Edgar Jennings, 74, of Kingsport, Tennessee, gained his heavenly wings on November 30, 2025. He was born on September 10, 1951, in Kingsport, where he spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Pat Jennings and Lamanda Woods; his beloved sister, Barbara; and his brother, Hal Jennings; as well as his special great-grandson, Jace.

He is survived by his daughters: April Berry, Candi "Bean" Barnette, Ashley Jennings, and Ciera "Nikki" Vaughn; his grandchildren: Autumn, Jakob, Kierra, Nora, Emerick, and Keelan; and his great-grandchildren: Amora, EllieJane, and Zakius. He is also survived by his brother, Brad Jennings; his aunt, Bobbie Quillen; special nieces, Mandie Tays and Cory Tames; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his life long love/best friend, Pamela Barnette.

Joe was a lifelong roofer and a man who never met a stranger. He loved music, animals, the outdoors, antiques, and most of all, making people laugh. His goofy nature, constant humming, and unforgettable smile made him the life of every room he entered. He had the greenest thumb and could make anything bloom into something beautiful.

Joe loved his family deeply and in the best ways he knew how. His laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on through all who were blessed to know him. As will his fried chicken livers and cat head biscuits.

Forever loved. Never forgotten. May he watch over everyone who ever loved him.
