John Carl Baldwin Jr.

John Carl Baldwin Jr., 58, of Blountville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at Bristol Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, following a lengthy illness, with family by his side.

John was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A member of Living by Faith Church, he lived with a genuine love for others and truly never met a stranger. John retired from Trident Holdings in March of this year after many years of dedicated service. His warm smile, friendly spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Baldwin; his mother-in-law, Bessie Boothe; his father-in-law, Charlie Boothe; and his beloved grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Carolyn Baldwin; daughter of the home, Skylar "Gracie" Harrington; father, John Baldwin of Kingsport, Tennessee; sons, Cody Mosley and family of Kingsport, Tennessee, Matthew Harrington of Tazewell, Virginia, and Brian Harrington of Tazewell, Virginia; daughters, Kimberly Britton and husband, James, of New Haven, Florida, and Sarah Walls of Tazewell, Virginia; sister, Kathy Grigsby and husband, Johnny, of Kingsport, Tennessee; brothers, Bobby Baldwin and wife, Julie, of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Ray Ray Baldwin of Kingsport, Tennessee; along with several cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Chris Benner, Doctor Ta Ha, the compassionate staff at CTCA Cancer Center, and the doctors and nurses at Bristol Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care and kindness shown to John throughout his illness.

A celebration of John's life will be announced at a later date. Friends are welcome to pay their respects at the family home, 426 Highland Meadows Drive, Blountville, Tennessee 37617.
