John Chris Mowdy

John Christopher (Chris) Mowdy, age 46, of Mt. Carmel, passed away on September 9, 2018 at the home of his aunt. Chris had been a resident of this area all his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Chris enjoyed playing music and singing and he loved and adored his family very much. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Mowdy; brother, Wesley Mowdy; and grandmother, Anna Mae Shepherd. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jenny Mowdy; daughter, Sara Mowdy, of the home; son, Jonathan Nicholas Mowdy (Utah); mother, Dorithea Mowdy (Kingsport, TN); several aunts, uncles and cousins; and special Nephew, Jamison Lee Derrick. Per Chriss wishes, he will be cremated, with no service. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to be serving the Mowdy family.
