John Daniel DeLancey, 63, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
John was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, grew up in the Long Island area.
His passions included working on cars and going fishing. He was known as a "jack of all trades, master of none".
John was a man who always spoke his mind. He was an avid collector of coins and other treasures.
He loved his children and grandchildren. He cherished family cookout gatherings, where he was known for his famous potato salad.
Later in life, John found peace by giving his life to Jesus.
John is predeceased by his parents, John Ray DeLancey and Joyce (Neeley), as well as several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Hunt and Sharon Godsey; his son, Nathan Fields and wife Brittany; daughters, Kristina Templeton and husband James, Julia Thomas, and Angel DeLancey-Gomez; and grandchildren, Jeramy, Luke, Sarah, Brylee, Brianna, Sophia, Emilyn, Reid, and many others; and close family friends, Darrell, Jenn, and Bo.
Graveside service will be held at Depew's Chapel on Friday, June 21st, at 10:00 am with Pastor Ed Clevenger officiating.
