Listen to Obituary

Joshua Clifford Delp, "Uncle Bubba Josh," passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the age of 30.

Josh was a bright, loving, and hilarious soul who knew how to light up any room he walked into. To know Josh was to love him. He was a true people person-loyal, dependable, and always down for anything as long as it meant spending time with his family and friends. A true jack of all trades, Josh could fix your car, help you break it, make you laugh, or make you mad, all in the same afternoon. He was like a box of chocolates: you never quite knew what you were going to get, but you always knew it came from a good place.

Above all the roles he played in life, being a dad was Josh's absolute favorite. His three boys were his world, and he beamed with pride from the moment he became a father. He loved nothing more than sharing his passions with his sons and nephews-teaching them how to play ball, ride dirt bikes, and work on cars. His devotion to his family defined who he was.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Delp; his grandmother, Joel Gaddy; his uncle, Brian Delp; and cousin Azlyn Loveday.

He is survived by the love of his life, Madison Rice; his cherished sons, Bryson Delp, Bentley Delp, and Benson Delp; his mother and step-father, Brandy and Nick Vaughn; his father and step-mother, Jonathan and Rebecca Delp; his sisters, Summer Delp, Sydney Vaughn (and fiancé Connor Ketron), and Maya Johnson; grandmother, Rebecca Delp; grandfather, Dennis Gaddy; aunts, Tonia Delp and Heather Peak; special cousins, Autumn Delp, Zane Delp, Skylar Dougherty, Shadie Dougherty, Aleiah Posh, Emma Loveday, Isaac Gaddy, Liam Loveday, Daniel Delp, Ethan Delp, Brett Delp, and Tessa Delp; a special love, Payton Gibson; as well as a large extended family of special cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

A service to honor and celebrate Josh's life will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers, located at 1221 Stewball Cir, Kingsport, TN 37660. Following afterwards, is a ride along with his friends and family to Buffalo Wild Wings in Kingsport.
