In Loving Memory of Joshua Lee "Bud" Mumpower
September 18, 1982 - July 16, 2026
With hearts that are broken beyond words, we announce the unexpected passing of Joshua Lee Mumpower, who left this world on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 43 following a tragic motorcycle accident in Bristol, Tennessee.
Joshua was a devoted husband, a proud father of four, a beloved son, a cherished brother, and a loyal friend. While his passing has left an unimaginable emptiness in the lives of those who loved him, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever.
Joshua had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a smile that could brighten a room. He loved deeply, laughed wholeheartedly, and never hesitated to help someone in need. The people who knew him will remember his strength, his sense of humor, and the way he made others feel like family.
More than anything, Joshua loved his family. His greatest pride and joy were his wife and his four beautiful children. They were the center of his world, and every decision he made was rooted in his love for them.
Joshua's life was taken far too soon, leaving behind dreams that will never be fulfilled and memories that will forever be treasured. Although our hearts ache with his absence, we find comfort in knowing that the love he shared can never be taken away.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vickie Jean Dobson and Franklin Lee Arnold; mother in law, Mary Howard.
He is survived by his loving wife Kayla Jean Mumpower (Howard); his four beloved children Alyssa Howard, Billy Howard, Raelynn Mumpower, Paizlee Mumpower; his sister April Dempsey; his father-in-law, Brian Howard; his extended family, and countless friends especially Jeremy Leonard whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and friendship.
A Celebration of Joshua's life will be held with family and friends to honor the incredible man he was and the legacy of love he leaves behind on Sunday July 26 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Trinity Memorial. Memorial service to follow.
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
