Justin Steven Bowen

Justin Steven Bowen, 39, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with diabetes, surrounded by the love of his family.

Justin was truly one of a kind. His kind heart, genuine spirit, and easygoing nature touched countless lives. He had a way of making others feel welcomed and valued, and his authenticity left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him. His unwavering faith in Christ guided his life and gave him strength through every season.

Justin was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, and a faithful friend. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing laughter, offering encouragement, or simply being present, Justin's greatest joy came from loving those God had entrusted to his care.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Jessica Bowen.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Brittany Bowen; his precious children, Sophia and Nathaniel Bowen, all of Kingsport; his mother and stepfather, Tammy and Tim Alverson; his father, Martin Bowen of Gate City, Virginia; his sister, Hannah Herrin of Rogersville, Tennessee; his grandmother, Barbara Alverson of Kingsport; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to honor Justin's life at a Celebration of Life service at Grace Point, which will be held on Monday July 27th. Recieving of family and friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with Memorial service to follow.
