Karen Edna Hixson Ellington

Karen “Hixson” Ellington, 53, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 8, 2018 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her father, T.P. Hixson; husband Daniel Ellington and niece, Allison Bushey. Karen was a graduate of Sullivan North High School and dedicated most of her life as a caregiver. Her favorite pass time was being a loving Nana to her grandsons. Karen will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. The loved ones left to cherish her memory; her daughters, Tasha Ellington and fiance, Clayton Howington, Danielle Nadeau and husband Cory; mother, Freida Isley and husband Paul; sisters, Donna Byington, Tonya Hixson and wife Judy; brothers, Brian Hixson and wife Kim, Perry Sanders and Anthony Mann and wife Suzy; grandchildren, Robert Irvin IV, Joseph Testerman and Tucker Nadeau and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family; special nephew, Joshua Whitaker. The celebration of life will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home.
