Kathryn Margaret (Vernon) Kost, affectionately known as Kathi, and nicknamed Pretty Kitty Blue Eyes by her mother, was born on June 14, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Kathi was a devoted wife to Jeff Kost and a loving mother to her two children, Tamara Marie (Kraus) Jackson and Andrew Tyler (Kraus) Matheson. Throughout her life, she embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood, fostering a nurturing environment where her children could thrive. Kathi's commitment to her family extended to her role as a grandmother to five beloved grandchildren: Maggie Elizabeth Matheson, Reagan Matheson Andrew, Heather Margaret Jackson, Courtney Ruth Jackson, and Holly Rose Jackson; and four great-grandchildren.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Kathi had a passion for music and dance that resonated deeply within her home. Her love for ABBA's "Thank You for the Music" will forever be remembered, alongside the joyful memories of swing dancing and jitterbug lessons she shared with her daughter, Tammy. She had a remarkable ability to bring family together during holidays, often showcasing her fine china, crystal, and silverware, while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.

Kathi possessed a keen organizational talent, which served her well as an administrative assistant for her church. Beyond her professional skills, she was also an accomplished artist and photographer, demonstrating her creativity in various ways. Her interest in genealogy led her to compile her family lineage through Ancestry.com, connecting past and present.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Irene Harvey Matheson; father, Walter John Vernon; brother, Donald Vernon; and sister, Elizabeth Ann (Vernon) Manian. Kathi is remembered fondly by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and love, instilling values that will continue to guide her family in the years to come.

Her life was a testament to the importance of passion, family, and the joy that music brings. Kathi will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
