Kathy Lynn Miller

Kathy Lynn Miller, 67, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Fred and Joann Perkey.

Kathy had a heart of gold and a spirit that could never be dimmed. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and those she loved most. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in raising and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, many of whom she lovingly helped raise. Kathy had a special gift with kids and cherished every moment she spent with them.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including playing bingo with her friends and sharing her thoughts openly with those around her-always honest, always genuine. Kathy was the kind of person who said what was on her mind, and her family and friends loved her for it.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ronnie Miller; her parents, Fred Perkey and Joann Sams; and her brothers, Richard Perkey and Mike Perkey.

Kathy is survived by her children, John Arnette (Crystal), Darrell Perkey, and Mary Ann Arnette; her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany, Joanna, Damion, Rocheal, Sandy, JJ, and Julianne Arnette, and La'Taylyn Gadson; her brothers, Rick Perkey (Betty), Tommy Perkey (Karen), and Wiley Perkey; and her dear friend and roommate, Mrs. Dina.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of Kathy's caretakers, especially those at Holston Manor, for the love, compassion, and support they provided throughout her journey.

Kathy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her love will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
