Lanny Ross Wilson

Lanny Wilson, 78, of Kingsport, TN passed away on August 11, 2026.

He was born and raised in Newton, New Jersey. Lanny always fondly remembered his childhood working on the farm and dreamed of going back to the pasture. He later moved to East Tennessee. His passion and career was automotive mechanic work. Lanny loved his classic cars like his 65 Chevy Nova. and a 62 Corvette.

He was preceded by his father, Ross Wilson and brother, Jimmy Wilson.

Lanny is survived by his daughter, Kelly Wilson; son, Andy Wilson; companion, Jean Gregory; brothers, Tim Wilson and Perry Wilson; many grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
