April 24, 1946 - May 19, 2025

2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Larry Wayne Mullins, a man of quiet strength and deep devotion, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and faith. Born on April 24, 1946, Larry was a God-fearing man who found profound joy in life's simple pleasures - a warm meal, a good baseball game, the beauty of nature, and time spent with family.

Larry was the embodiment of gentle strength. He never met a meal he didn't enjoy, and his biscuits and gravy were nothing short of legendary - a recipe that felt like a hug from the inside. His hugs, in fact, made you feel truly safe. A devoted husband for 54 years to Susan Lindsey Mullins, Larry showed his love not through grand gestures, but through consistent, everyday acts of care and devotion. His love was deep, steady, and unwavering.

As a father and grandfather, Larry had a remarkable way of making each person feel uniquely seen and cherished. His grandchildren's nicknames, lovingly chosen, seemed to come from an understanding of their very souls. His laugh could light up a room, and his presence made home feel complete.

Larry retired after 34 years of dedicated service from Eastman, where he worked as a quality facilitator for building 270. In his retirement, he found peace in the rhythm of nature, enjoying the simple act of watching birds and squirrels and camping beneath open skies.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Dewey Bishop and grandson, Elijah Wayne Mullins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Mullins; his children: Matthew Mullins, Jake Mullins (Jessica), Freddi Correll (Allan), and Laura Calfee (Nelson); and his cherished grandchildren: Griffin Mullins Hicks (Ian), Tucker Calfee, Cannon Mullins, Baker Correll, and Cooper Calfee. He also leaves behind his beloved mother, Wanda "Jerry" Bishop, brother Tommy Mullins (Alma), and many nieces and nephews.

Though Larry is no longer with us, his spirit lives on - in the morning light, the rustling of trees, the scent of a shared meal, and the laughter of family gathered together. His legacy of kindness, humor, and appreciation for life's small joys continues through those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

- Written with love by his grandson, Tucker Calfee
