Larry Dallas Murphy

Larry Dallas Murphy, age 77, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2025. He was born to Harl and Beulah Murphy in Galax, Virginia, and is preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Murphy, with whom he shared nearly 49 years of marriage. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Justus Murphy and Cristy Manning of Tetonia, Idaho; and his daughter, Angela Murphy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Larry is remembered by his brother, Gary Murphy of Galax, Virginia; and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Brock (Gary) of Lexington, Kentucky; along with several nieces, a nephew, and close friends.

A memorial service to honor Larry's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Mt. Vale Methodist Church in Galax, Virginia, with his long-time friend, Rev. Arthur Holland, and Rev. Charles Linquist officiating.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
