In Loving Memory of Larry Steven Scism

Larry Steven Scism, age 56, of Greenville, Tennessee, passed away on June 27, 2026. Born on December 24, 1969, Steven lived a life filled with love for his family, the outdoors, and music. Steven will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, and the simple joys of nature. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and happiness in the woods and on the water. Music was one of his greatest passions. He always had a guitar in his hands and loved playing whenever he had the chance. Steven also loved writing songs, using music to express his thoughts, memories, and heart. Those who knew him will remember his adventurous spirit, generous heart, kind smile, and the joy he brought to others through his music and friendship. Steven had worked at Manavox and Plus Mark, Inc., in Greenville to where he built lasting friendships throughout his years of service. He is survived by his loving daughter, Lily Reaves his mother, Marilyn Weston; his father, Larry Scism; his stepmother, Katie Scism; his sisters, Rachel Scism and Allison Matthews; his brother, Michael Scism; his stepbrother, James Dean (Bo); his stepsister, Kelly Davis (Missy); his estranged, wife Crystal Scism his special friend, Tina Darnell; His life partner Katy Franklyn along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Nunley, Jeanette Younce Guy Scism, and Lissie Scism, as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Invitations and additional details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements have been finalized. Steven's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His love for family, his passion for the outdoors, the music he played, and the songs he wrote will forever be remembered. Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
