Lee J. McCormack

Lee J. McCormack, 79, of Gray TN, passed away on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.

Lee was born in Pocatello Idaho in 1946 and moved to Los Angeles when he was a child. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1964 and served as a Radio Operator in Vietnam from 1966-1967. Following his military service, Lee worked as a Correctional Officer for the California State Prison System and as an Insurance Salesman for several agencies. Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and he enjoyed fishing, 49ers football, watching movies, caring for his pets, and spending time with his family.

Lee loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor; his family and friends will miss him dearly.

Lee is preceded by his mother, Vilma; his father Thomas; and his brother, Louis.

Lee is survived by his children, Chris, Teresa, Jonathan and Jeffrey; his siblings, Thomas, Terri, and Rick; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey, Anastasia, Evan, Caitlin, Cole and Adaline; and by several great-grandchildren.

The family will have a Memorial Gathering at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at Trinity Memorial Centers in Kingsport, and a Funeral Service at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 13, 2026.
