Lena Belle Whitson

Lena Belle Whitson, 99, of Erwin, TN, gained her wings peacefully in her sleep at her home on Sunday, September 14, 2025, with grandson Joshua Whitson by her side.

Lena was born on April 30th, 1926 to the late Fred and Bessie Constable and was native to East Tennessee. She spent her younger years in the Lamar/Telford area until moving to Erwin with her husband, Richard Whitson, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her two sons, Eddie and Ronald; her granddaughter, Kimberly; her four sisters; and her three brothers, all of Erwin, Tennessee.

Those left to cherish Lena's memory include her grandchildren, Christina Robinson, Joshua Whitson, Matthew Whitson, Amanda Whitson, and Anisha Whitson; as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lena was a homemaker raising her sons and being involved in as much as possible with raising her grandchildren. Her life was devoted to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord above all and would share His glory every chance she could. She was loved by everyone whose life she touched with her sweet demeanor and always had a joke to make you smile.

She will be laid to rest with her husband.
