Lester Ray Osborne Jr., 78, of Kingsport, Tn, passed away on Monday, June 15th, 2026.
Lester was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Lester Ray Osborne Sr. and Dorothy Hinkle Osborne. He spent more than 40 years living in Michigan before moving to East Tennessee in 1998. He met Patty and together, they made a home filled with love, companionship, and many treasured memories.
Lester was a hardworking man who retired after 32 years of dedicated service with Ford Motor Company. He was skilled with his hands and took great pride in woodworking and craftsmanship. Whether he was building something, fixing something, or simply working on a project, Lester had a gift for creating with care and patience.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time outdoors. He was also a talented bowler and pool player, having played professionally and competed in tournaments over the years. Lester was a member of Tate Lodge No. 438 F.&A.M. and was also active with the Jericho Shrine in Blountville, TN, where he especially loved helping transport children to medical centers. His heart for others was one of the many ways he quietly made a difference.
Above all, Lester loved his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was caring, thoughtful, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. His kindness, steady presence, and warm spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Ray Osborne Sr. and Dorothy Hinkle Osborne; his wife of 29 years, Bonnie Osborne; son, Jeremy Osborne; sisters, Phyllis Collins and Cathy Ynnoe; and stepfather, Richard Kimbler.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 23 years, Patty Osborne; sons, Ronnie Osborne and wife Lucinda, and Michael Goad and wife Sirimes; daughter, Jessica Christian; grandchildren, Devin, Drew, Nami, Ronnie, Destiny, Ashley, and Bradley; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Worm and husband Ken; brothers, Danny Osborne and Randy Osborne; along with many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. A Masonic graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
