Lynnda Nappila, 77, of Mt. Carmel, TN, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at Holston Valley Hospital after a lengthy struggle with numerous health issues. Even through her challenges, Lynnda's strength, grace, and unwavering faith remained at the center of her life.

Born on December 15, 1947, Lynnda was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Stella Poirier, and her beloved daughter, Tracy Nappila.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Sonny Nappila of Mt. Carmel; her children Michelle Nappila , Michael Nappila (wife Michelle) and Tony Nappila, of Florida; and her sister Nancy Stearns of Kingsport.

Lynnda was a proud grandmother to Shannon Nappila (fiancé Luke Housewright) of Mt. Carmel, TN; Amanda Nappila (fiancé Josh Harr) of Boone, NC; Brittany Oja (Eric Law) of Oregon; Dillon Oja of Massachusetts; and honorable grandson Patrick Covich of Kingsport, TN.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren K-Leigh Nappila Hinton (spouse Chris Hinton) of Johnson City, TN; Kelsey Nappila of Kingsport, TN; and Mya Oja of Massachusetts.

Lynnda attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and Gardner High School in Massachusetts. She later became the manager of Quality Garden Center in Kingsport, where her kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit became familiar to many in the community.

A devoted Christian, Lynnda was a cherished member of Hope Community Church and loved attending The Gathering at MeadowView. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she shared that light with everyone around her.

Lynnda was a fun-loving, positive, generous soul who always saw the goodness in people. She could be depended on to help anyone in need, offering compassion without hesitation. She leaves behind countless friends, including two especially close lifelong companions, Peggy Johnson and Brenda Coyle-Perry, who brought laughter and love into her life.

To know Lynnda was to love her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed enough to share in her life.
