We are saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Debralee Snapp Ewing, who was born to her parents, James B. Snapp Sr. and Sovolia K. Jones Snapp, on July 30, 1957, in Rogersville, Tennessee, and joined them in heaven on November 29, 2025, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Margaret married Edward Lewis Ewing Sr. in 1974, and together they raised three children: Stacy Ewing, Edward Ewing (partner Deidra Leann), and Pamela Collins. She was a devoted military spouse until Edward retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1992. Since then, she has been a veteran spouse and mother of two veterans: Eddie (retired, USMC) and Stacy (US Army).
Margaret is rejoicing in heaven with her parents and siblings, James B. Snapp Jr. (Tex), Martha Treece, Timothy Snapp, Ann Skaggs, and Donnie Lynn Brice.
She leaves behind siblings, Mary Barbara Dennis (Johnny), Edith "Rene" Galbraith (Roger), Kaye Jackson, and Phillip Snapp. She also leaves behind aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Margaret was a loving grandmother to Tyler Ewing, Adrian Ewing, Cedric Ewing, Lauryn Rodriguez, Jasmine Collins, Christopher Pyles, Ja'Dyen Collins, Paxton Ewing, and Zoe Ewing; she was also an adoring great-grandmother to Amaya and Asher Ewing. Her bonus children will greatly miss her: Nathan Hounshell (Eddie's best friend), Lakisha Herring (Stacy's best friend), and Katrina Klepper Warden (Pamela's best friend).
Margaret worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and touched the lives of many with her compassionate care. She was a caregiver to Tara Joyner, whom she loved and shared many memories with.
In her free time, Margaret enjoyed exploring nature, reading, and journaling. She adored her fur-companion, Xena, who never left her side and misses her dearly.
On November 29, 2025, Margaret lost her battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Rest in peace, Margaret Debralee Snapp Ewing.
