Marianne Galloway Copes

Marianne Galloway Copes, 86, of Blountville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Marianne was born on April 12, 1940 in Wilmington, DE to the late John and Alene Galloway. She graduated from Claymont High School and Goldey-Beacom College. She embraced life and lived it to the fullest. Her passion was taking care of her family, friends, and pets.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alene Galloway; and sister, Nancy Roberts (Charles).

Those left to cherish Marianne's memory are her husband of 48 years, Joseph Copes; her children, Diane Marvel (Rusty), Stephen Speed (Lori), Brian Speed (Sharon), Jennifer Abbott (Wayne); her stepdaughter, Jennifer Marie Taskesen; her 12 Grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the ASPCA.
