Mark Mason

Mark McClellan Mason, 61, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Mark loved to golf. When he was younger, he was a boy scout and grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. Mark was always proud to be a boy scout. He loved to read and could usually be found somewhere smoking a cigar. Mark loved to garden and loved to plant flowers. He loved his animals. Mark had a wonderfully unique sense of humor. Mark retired from Kingsport Police Department from being a detective. He is preceded in death by his mother, Stuart Gaines May; and his sister Amber Gaines Mason. He is survived by his wife, Lori Mason of Kingsport, Tennessee; his son Nick Boone; daughter in law Kristin Boone; grandchildren Ella Rose, Everett, Silas and Lilliana Boone of Jonesborough Tennessee; brother in law Alan Howlett; and sister in law Sandi Howlett. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Mason family.
