Mark Wayne Rimer

Mark Wayne Rimer, age 65, of Church Hill, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on August 2nd, 1960, and was raised in Hawkins County for his entire life. Mark was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Operation Desert Storm. He was a saved member of Longs Bend Missionary Baptist Church in Rogersville, TN. At the time of his accident, he was on his way home from helping a friend, which was something he loved to do.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Claymon and Annis Rimer; a brother, Richard "Rick" Rimer; a sister, Kathy Fletcher; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Christian and Mickey Larkins; and a niece, Shannon Cavin.

Surviving are his brothers, Mike Rimer and his wife, Amy, Steve Rimer, Jonathan Rimer, and Matthew Rimer and his wife, Amy; his sisters, Susan Christian, Carol Rimer, Christine Johnson and her husband, Rodney, Lorie Nye and her husband, Kevin, and Amy Larkins; a sister-in-law, Darlene Rimer; brother-in-law, Gale Fletcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660, with Pastor Kermit Calhoun and Pastor Daniel Phillips officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A Graveside Committal with Military Honors rendered by Church Hill VFW Post #9754, will take place at 2:00 PM, following a procession to Longs Bend Cemetery in Rogersville.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Rimer, Ben Rimer, Will Rimer, Luke Rimer, Ethan Rimer, Wesley Rimer, Jarran Armstrong, and Collin Bauer. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie and Daniel Bauer, Nathan Rimer, Gabriel Shanks, and Carson and Claymon Williams.
