Mark Stephen Trent

Mark "Steve" Trent, 65, of Blountville, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Kingsport, Tennessee, to Paul and Rachel Trent, Steve was a twin, and grew up surrounded by his large family as one of ten children. He met the love of his life early on, growing up alongside Mary Elizabeth Trent, and the two were married in 1988. Together, they shared 37 wonderful years of love, laughter, and life's simple joys.

Steve was a man of many passions and talents. Cooking was his love language, and he delighted in preparing meals for family and friends, often with a story or joke to go along with every dish. He had a lifelong love of cars and took pride in body work and his ability to fix anything or identify any part. His cherished CB radio earned him the handle "Bondo." A true music lover, Steve Loved golden oldies, '70s hits, and country, and he loved sharing slow dances with Mary Elizabeth when he was able.

An eternal optimist and storyteller, Steve's sense of humor was infectious. He was a jokester who loved to make people laugh and always had a memorable quote or saying at the ready. He was a devoted "girl dad" and cherished his daughters deeply, as well as the family and friends who became like family along the way. Steve had a deep fascination with the natural world-a firm believer in Bigfoot, the beautiful nature of wolves, noting the lifelong bond of mated pairs, and also enjoying peaceful afternoons creek fishing.

Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Trent; his parents, Paul Curtis and Rachel Elizabeth Trent; and his siblings Sam, John, Dave, Susie Wright, Dan (his twin), and Janie Trent.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Ina Murray (Eric) and Ellen Fleenor (Justin); his siblings Joseph Trent, Amy Lockett, and Heidi Emmert; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will forever cherish his humor, warmth, and love.

Family and Friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM, at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Blountville, Tennessee.
