Marvin Dean, 68, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lilly Clark and father Bea Dean; sister, Mae Dean; son, Billy Dean; brothers, Hue Jack Dean, Walter Fred Dean; sister, Coreen Quillen.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Dean; step-son, James W. Hooks; son, Roger Dean; sisters, Eva Joyce Dean of Norfolk, Va, Shirley Smallwood of Weber City, Va; brother, Ralph Dean and wife Luella of Nickelsville, Va, Don Dean and wife Betty of Kingsport, Tn; grandkids, James Hooks Jr, Nicholas Hooks, Chelsey Hooks, Jamie Hooks, Cody Hooks; two special great grandkids, Ivory Rayne Harris and Monti Hooks; two special friends, Ben and Sherry Donovan.
