Merinda Faye Compton, 59, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Merinda was a true country girl at heart- strong, hardworking, and full of life. She found joy in the simple things, whether it was casting a line while fishing, traveling to new places, or relaxing at home watching her favorite TV shows and scary movies. She had a deep love for life and an even deeper love for her family, especially her children, who were the center of her world.

Those who knew Merinda will remember her for her resilience, her warm spirit, and the way she cared so deeply for the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Quesenberry.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donnie Compton; her mother, Bessie Quesenberry; her three sons, Blake Compton, Anthony McCrary, and Kevin McCrary; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Merinda's life was a testament to love, strength, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
