Nancy Ladd Johnson

On January 1, 2026, Nancy Ladd Johnson, 84, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus. She is now with her beloved Savior, who remained by her side throughout her illness. Nancy served as an Elder at Bethel Presbyterian, faithfully attending for many years. She had a passion for travel and crafts and was pursuing her Master of Divinity in seminary. Additionally, Nancy was a Lay Minister at Bethel Presbyterian in Kingsport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Johnson; her father, Jack Ladd; her mother, Gertrude Doyle; her stepmothers, Jan Ladd and Martha Schramlin; and her sister, Becky Mottern.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Tony Johnson (wife Regina) and Eddie Carringer; her sisters, Becky Ladd, Monti Ladd, and Jackie Gioia; her brother, Mike Ladd (wife Sandy); nephews Stephen Pridemore, Michael Ladd, and Gregory Ladd; niece Nichole DuVall; grandsons Hunter Johnson and Corey; granddaughters Brittany, Carrie, and Stacey; great-grandsons Jonah Smith, Bryson Snodgrass, Benson York, and Waylon Overbay; and great-granddaughter Evelyn York.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1593 Warpath Dr., Kingsport, TN 37664.
