Peggy Jo McMurray

Peggy Jo McMurray, 80, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21st, 2026.

Peggy was a very kind and loving person who enjoyed attending church with her special church family. She worked for many hospitals and care centers over the years as a secretary, her heart was made for care giving and she enjoyed providing care to her friends and family over the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stella (Sims) & Lloyd McMurray; sisters, Barbara Hughes and Shirley Wright; brother, William McMurray; infant sister and brother.

Left to cherish her memories are her nephews, Scott McMurray, Doug Wright and wife Pam, Marty Hughes; niece, Lisa Hughes; great nephew who she was particularly close to, Jacob McMurray; special friend, Diana Davis; and her church family, Midway Baptist.

There will be a committal service at Holston View Cemetery on Saturday, September 26th, at 2:00 pm.
