Rachel Nicole Brockwell, 42, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Though her physical journey has ended, the imprint she leaves behind is enduring and profound.
Rachel was vivacious and charismatic, unmistakably an individual in every sense of the word. She was unapologetically herself-steadfast, confident, and genuine-and those qualities drew people to her. She found true joy in helping the people she loved and would go to great lengths to support them, often placing others' needs before her own.
Music was one of Rachel's great passions. She loved listening to it, feeling it, and experiencing it live, where concerts became moments of pure joy. She also loved to dance-whether at a show or alone in her kitchen at three in the morning.
Rachel was a deep thinker who encouraged others to think for themselves. She offered guidance freely, but just as importantly, she knew when to listen. Through every trial she faced, she held fast to her faith and her hope. Her self-confidence was something to admire; some might have called it stubborn, and at times they were right-but it never dimmed her desire to spread light and love. That light continues to shine through the family and friends she loved so fiercely.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Rachel lived all over Texas, but also in East Tennessee. She worked for many years as a Customer Representative for AT&T, where her dedication and care for others were evident in all she did.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Brockwell; her grandmother, Gerrell Lequieu; her paternal grandparents, Jack and Kay Brockwell; and her uncles, Ron Brockwell, Keith Brockwell, and Johnny Morelock.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sharon (Lequieu) Brockwell; her brother, Jarrod Brockwell; her grandfather, Richard Lequieu; her uncle, Rick Lequieu and wife Jess; and her aunts, Sabra Morelock, Cynthia Brockwell, and Susiey Brockwell; her Great-Aunt, Roma Gray and husband Stanley; along with many extended family members and friends who were touched by her presence.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Colonial Heights Christian Church on February 21st from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Colonial Heights Christian Church to the Missions Team.
Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Brockwell family. Online condolences may be shared at www.trinitymemorialcenters.com.
