Randy Lynn Hite a beloved father, husband, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in his hometown of Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born on August 2, 1951. Randy was 74 years old at the time of his passing. He was the son of Norma Nell Hite-Dockery and James Kenneth Hite, who instilled the values of honesty, selflessness, and nurturing.
Randy's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family. Randy was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his profession in truck driving. In addition, Randy was a passionate 8 and 9 ball player in the American Poolplayers Association. Many will remember him not just for his talent in the game but also for the camaraderie he built with fellow players.
Randy is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn Hite, whom he married on February 14, 1990. He is also survived by his two cherished daughters Rachael and Randi. As well as his beloved sister Yvonne Hite Pilkenton. Randy's legacy continues through his six adored grandchildren: Alaric, Jaymz, Aurora, and Renona from Rachael and her husband, James Lenker; and Nora and Ava from Randi and her husband, Alex Linkous. Each grandchild brought a unique light into his life, and he cherished the moments spent with them.
Randy was a man of strong character, known for his selfless nature and nurturing spirit. He was a guiding light in the lives of those he loved. His ability to put others first will leave an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends.
As we mourn the loss of Randy, we also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Center from 11am to 12pm for visitation followed by a service from 12pm to 1pm. After there will be a gathering of friends, family and food at Logan's Chapel Church where all who knew and loved Randy are invited to share their memories and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local charity of your choice in Randy's memory, honoring his selfless approach to life.
Rest in peace, dear Randy. You will be profoundly missed and cherished in our hearts forever.
Family and Friends are invited to honor Randy's life at Trinity Memorial Centers in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and Services will be held at 12:00 PM.
