Listen to Obituary

Robert Bardo, 88, of Johnson City, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Robert was born in Berwick, Pennsylvania, and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for eight years. A Mason for over 60 years, he was deeply devoted to his craft and to the principles of integrity, hard work, and fellowship that guided his life.

Robert spent 35 wonderful years married to the love of his life, Sandra Bardo. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and the kind of steady devotion that became the heart of their family. He loved his family deeply and found his greatest joy in being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. His eyes would light up when he spoke about them, and his pride in their accomplishments was unmistakable.

He was known for his easygoing spirit, yet he was never shy about sharing his thoughts. If something was on his mind, he'd tell you straight. Robert had a good sense of humor and a way of putting people at ease. He believed in working hard, living honestly, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life.

Those who knew him best will remember his love of fishing on quiet mornings, spending time at the VFW with friends, and the friendly competition of a good poker game. He never missed a race and loved the thrill of cheering on his favorite drivers.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Bardo; his parents; and his son, Robert Bardo Jr.

He is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his children, Rick Bardo, Ronnie Bardo, Robin Hughes, Randy Bardo, Russell Bardo, Michael Joe Biggs, Jennifer Biggs, Ryan Bardo, Stacy Bardo, and Dustin Bardo; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to honor his legacy through their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Robert's memory.
