Ronald Lee Spellar

Ronald "Lee" Spellar went to be with Lord on May 21st, 2026 at his home. Lee was born on September 20th, 1966 to the late Conrad and Virginia Smith. He attended Daniel Boone High School. He was an avid Sword Collector. He loved watching movies and always considered "The Terminator" his favorite movie. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Lee was raised in Gray, TN., and often spoke of doing farm work and dairy farm chores. He later worked at the dialysis center and then as an adult he had several jobs such as a masonry, Partner Industrial and Quest Diagnostics. He loved big equipment and drove trucks for a living, and worked as a medical courier. He enjoyed fishing and watching dirt racing before he got injured. In recent days he enjoyed studying his Bible and watching YouTube videos spending most of his time at home.

Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Noe.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renia Owens Spellar of the home; sons, Daulton Spellar and wife Kelsie of Kingsport, TN., Dustin Hinkle of Telford, TN., Robin Edens and wife Tasha of Natural Tunnel, VA.; daughter, Brittany White of Kingsport, TN.; brothers, Johnny Spellar of Kingsport, TN., Cody Smith and wife Kimberly of Kingsport, TN., Steven Smith of Johnson City, TN., Kevin Smith and wife Kelly of Bristol, VA., and Brian Smith and wife Christy of Blountivlle, TN.; several grandchildren and one great grandson; several nieces and nephews, and extended family.

A service for Lee will be held on Thursday May 28th, 2026 at 7pm at Trinity Memorial Centers with Pastor Rob Webb of Greater Outreach Church of God in Pennington Gap, VA., officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-7pm prior to the service. Interment will be Friday May 29th, 2026 at Hamlet Dobson Memorial Park at 1:30pm.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
