"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."

"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband praises her as well."

- Proverbs Ch. 31:10; 28

Ruby Nell Kilgore, 92, of Kingsport, TN, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Ruby lived her life by the motto, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing." She devoted more than 40 years of hard work and dedication to RevCo, later CVS, where she was known for her kindness and gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Kilgore; her parents, Henry & Virgie Mae Hilton; her brother, William Hilton, and his wife, Maxie; her sister, Judy Hilton; her grandson, Jason Grizzle; and her two son-in-laws, Kenneth Grizzle and Cecil Minter.

Those left to cherish Ruby's memory are her children, Bruce Kilgore, Gwen Whiten (Ed), Dianne Grizzle, Lou Ann Scalf (Talmadge), Sharon Minter; her grandchildren, Misty Harrison (Jamie), Travis Scalf, Michael Darnell (Nikiea), Terrance Scalf (Rachel), Scottie Grizzle (Katie), Mark Christian (Jamie), Andrew Kilgore, Amanda Kilgore; her siblings, Shirley Newman, Sue Riner, Patricia Slaughter, and Tommy Hilton (Yvetta); her 18 great-grandchildren; and her 8 great-great grandchildren.
