Ruth Minnie Simcox

Ruth Minnie Simcox, 93, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, November 6th, 2025.

Ruth was born in Butler, TN to the late George and Mae Fritts. She was of the Christian faith and last attended The Rock Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, LaVern; sisters, Mabel & Maudine; and brother, Dana Fritts.

She is survived by her sons, Dale Simcox, Richard Simcox (late wife Karen); daughters, Judy Carico (David), Sue Murphy (Jerry), Kathy Riner (Bill); grandchildren, Michael, April, Steve, Jon, Elizabeth, Brianna, Trey, Taila, Angie, Wesley, Vicki, Ryan, Stephanie and Billy; seventeen great grandchildren; special nieces and nephew, Lynn, Benny and Diane; and special friends, Peggy & Chris Brown.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 9th, 1:00 pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (11706 Roan Creek Rd, Butler, TN) with her grandson, Billy Riner officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
