Listen to Obituary

Sandy Lea Rush, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Welch, West Virginia, Sandy spent most of her life in Bluff City, Tennessee, where she built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She was the beloved daughter of Brenda Mae Stacy and the late Terry Stacy. Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Jim Rush; her daughters, Hannah Bingham (and husband Chandler) and Kattie Rush; and her cherished grandchildren, Abigail Rush and Johnathan Sharpe. She also leaves behind her sister, Sherry "Kimma" Ellis (and husband Rick); nieces Hailey Rush, Krystal Ellis, and Sarah Beth Rush; nephews,, Chris Beverly and Tanner Rush; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

Sandy was a woman who never met a stranger-just like her daddy. She had a heart of gold, a contagious laugh, and a spunky spirit that could light up any room. Whether she was riding four-wheelers through the West Virginia mountains, finding the best bargains in town, or dressing up for every holiday, Sandy knew how to make life fun. She was proud of her West Virginia roots and had a deep love for all things red, white, and blue.

Above all, Sandy loved her family and friends fiercely. She was the life of the party, always ready for a good time and a good laugh. Most importantly, Sandy gave her life to Jesus before taking her final breath, bringing peace and comfort to those who loved her most.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Three Springs United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall. Friends and family are encouraged to come wearing red, white, and blue or West Virginia colors to honor Sandy's vibrant spirit and the life she so joyfully lived.

Sandy will be remembered for her unwavering love, her laughter that filled every room, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
