Scott Eugene Seary

Scott Eugene Seary, 47, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Scott was a man with a big heart and a generous spirit. A talented guitarist, he poured his passion into music and played with pride in his band, Scar City. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 27 beautiful years. His love for his family was unconditional especially for his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

A true craftsman and entrepreneur, Scott took pride in founding and running his own business, Seary Electric. He was a hardworking and driven man who always had time for those he loved. He found joy in the simple pleasures hiking in the mountains, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Seary.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Barbara; his children, Brittany Seary (wife Destiny), Mariah, McKenzie, and Kortney; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ava, Enslee, and Elias; his sister, Kim Sears (husband Jeremy); his brother, John Seary; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held in Florida at a later date.
