Sherri Holt

Sherri Holt, 61, of Church Hill, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 2, 1964, in California to Dianna and Doyle Seal.

Sherri was a woman whose kindness, grace, compassion, and love for family and friends never wavered. She understood that friendships, like gardens, require care and attention - and she joyfully put in that work. Her passion for flowers and gardening filled her days with beauty, and her home with warmth. She was also known as an exceptional cook, creating delicious meals from scratch, each one seasoned with her boundless love and shared generously with those she cared for.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dianna and Doyle Seal.

Sherri is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Ricky Holt; her sisters, Stephanie Webb and Theresa McCarter; and her special brother, Eric Seal, whom she lovingly cared for until her final days.

She was a proud and loving mother to Andrea Dockery (Dustin) and Rebecca Exiquio Morales (Juan), and a deeply devoted mamaw to her granddaughter, Abbigail Dockery. Sherri often said they changed her life for the better - a truth they felt every day through her endless love and steadfast support.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers in Kingsport, TN. In honor of Sherri's favorite color, the family requests that guests wear blue. As she always said, "I love blue in every hue."
