Shirley Marie Lapeze

Shirley Marie Lapeze, age 70, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and a family who will forever cherish her.

Shirley was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was so much more than a grandmother-she was their beloved GIGI, a source of unconditional love, comfort, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Tony Wallace and Brandy Wallace.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Wallace; Carrie Holloman and her husband, Derek; and Billie Jo McClain and her fiancé, Chris; her grandchildren, Christina Roberts, Elizabeth Wallace, Katie Starkey, Samantha Faircloth, Brandon Quevedo, and Chelsea Depew; her great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Roberts, and her brothers, Earnest Ramey, Jeffrey Ramey, and Bruce Ramey.

Shirley will forever be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the special place she held in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being their GIGI was one of the greatest joys of her life. The love she shared with her family will continue through every generation.

You never said goodbye,

You simply went away,

But the love you left behind

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Memorial Center in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Shirley may be gone from our sight, but she will never be gone from our hearts. Her love, her memories, and the beautiful legacy she leaves through her family will live on forever.
