Susan Carol Crowder

Susan C. (Carol) Crowder, 79, of Johnson City, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center after a long illness.

Carol was a native of Erwin, TN and graduated from Unicoi County High School. Carol married Robert H. (Bob) Crowder and dedicated her life to being a homemaker, and mother to two children. Carol had the opportunity to travel to many destinations with Bob and her son Eric, and she always enjoyed their favorite vacation spot in the Cayman Islands. Carol was the daughter of Richard and Charlotte Edwards of Erwin, TN. She was a long-time member of the Kingsport Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she served as a Treasurer, Women's Ministries leader, and Greeter over the past 35 years. Carol was a loving and dedicated Christian, and she was a loving mother, sister, and wife to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. (Bob) Crowder, and her father Richard G. Edwards.

Carol is survived by her daughter Kimberly Anne Crowder of Johnson City, TN; her son Robert Eric Crowder of Johnson City, TN; her mother Charlotte Edwards of Erwin, TN; her brother Richard M. Edwards and his wife, Cindy of Gallatin, TN.

The family will conduct a Memorial Service in honor of Mrs. Crowder's life at the Kingsport Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday, November 2nd at 2 PM Eastern. The church is located at 3025 Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, TN 37664. Pastor David Ryder will conduct the service.

Carol's burial will be conducted privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin, TN. The Crowder family is being served by Trinity Funeral Home of Kingsport, TN and by Evergreen Cemetery of Erwin, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Kingsport SDA Church.
