Tina Marie Spikes

Tina Marie Spikes, 46, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

She was born Feb 8th,1979, and grew up in KIngsport, TN. She graduated from Gate City HIgh School and went into the Job Corp after where she served for a year. She Married at the age of 19 and spent the next few year living as a military wife in Texas and California. She became a mother at 26, to her only child, Nikita, whom she would devote her life to loving and caring for as a single mother. She held several jobs, but found her work as a caregiver with the elderly most rewarding.

Tina was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She brought warmth, strength, and kindness to all who knew her. She is remembered for her generosity and thoughtful ways for everyone she knew. Though she was taken far to soon, her warmth and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Gale Johnson; her brother, Gale Johnson Jr.; and a special friend, Libby East.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nikita Santos; son-in-law, Walter Santos; grandson, Leon Santos; her biological mother, Carylon White; her adopted mother, Linda Coeburn; adopted father, Donald Coeburn; her brothers, Earine, Clarence, and David Pauley; AJ Johnson; Matt Layne; niece, Lisa Snow; and special friend, Walter Sanchez.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Oak Dale Baptist Church, 1937 W. Carters Valley Rd., Surgoinsville on Monday Dec. 8th, 2025, starting at 6pm.
