Tony Lynn Johnson

Tony Lynn Johnson, 68, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Born and raised in Sullivan County, Tony was a proud member of the Sullivan West High School graduating class of 1975. He went on to earn his degree from East Tennessee State University in 1979 before beginning a long and dedicated career with Dominion Virginia Power, where he worked for more than 35 years.

Tony cherished time spent with his family, especially their vacations together, which created many lasting memories. He found joy in hunting alongside his father and brother, and in playing guitar with his brother. His faith was a guiding part of his life, and he served faithfully as a Deacon at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Richmond, VA.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Greg Johnson; his parents, Denver & Helen Johnson; his mother-in-law, Ann Williams; his special friend, Jean Herman; and his sister-in-law, Michele Johnson.

Those left to cherish Tony's memory are his wife of almost 40 years, Debbie Johnson; his daughter, Lyndsey Johnson; his brother, Scott Johnson; his father-in-law, Roger Williams; his nephew, Patrick Johnson; his niece, Candace Mash & husband, Jonathan; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, beloved family members, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers on Saturday, September 13, 2025, with visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. and a service to follow. Tony Crisp will be officiating.
