Virgil Ray Hall, 80, passed away on March 3, 2026. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company and from Crockett Ridge Golf Course. He was full of life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He loved to play golf with his friends and take road trips with family. He was a girls soccer coach for many years. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. He loved Jesus and TN VOLS.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Hall, and father, Marshall Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon "Katie" Hall, of 60 years; one son, Alan Hall; and 2 daughters, Amy Brickey and April Fillers (boyfriend, Philip Chesnutt). He has 3 grandchildren, Ashley (husband, Mike) Allen; Aaron (wife, Candice) Langrel; and Forrest (wife, Jennifer) Brickey. He also has 6 great children: Wyatt, Leighton, Aubrey, Jacob, Garrett, and Blake.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Sunnyside Baptist Church Fellowship Center on Saturday, March 14th, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Holston Valley Hospital emergency room, ICU, 5th floor, and the Waters. We would like to thank ALL the people who have prayed for him and the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnyside Baptist Church Building Fund, 406 Cooks Valley Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
