Wanda Sue Brown

Wanda Sue Gibson Brown, age 67, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born on December 11, 1958, in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee.

Wanda was known for her faith in God, kindness, and love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard William Gibson; her mother, Mary Stewart Wolfe; her brothers, Ray, Roy, Silas, Coy, James, and Donald Gibson; and her sisters, Eva, Pearl, and Winnie.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Brown, and his wife, Rachel; her grandchildren, Caden, Samantha, and Grace Brown; her sisters, Vicia Sensabaugh (Robert), Esther Flynn, Glenda Holtzclaw (Martin), and Sharon Wolfe Marriott; her brothers, William Gibson (Sherry) and T.J. Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.

Her legacy of faith and family will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ on 501 Bell Ridge Rd, Kingsport, Tennessee. Bishop William Gibson will say a few words.
