William "Spanky" Haskiell Way Jr., 56, of Blountville, TN, went home to be with his daughter and parents on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Born in 1967, Spanky lived his entire life in the Blountville area. He had a deep passion for life and numerous hobbies that brought joy to those around him. He was an avid golfer, a dedicated NASCAR fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed all kinds of sports. Spanky also loved playing pool, fishing, and cherished his time with his grandchildren above all else. Known for his sense of humor and down-to-earth nature, he was someone who loved to laugh and have fun. Spanky worked in carpentry within the construction industry, a testament to his hard-working spirit.
He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ashley Way; his father, William Haskiell Way Sr.; his mother, Brenda Sue Adams Sexton; and his step-mom, Paula Light.
Spanky leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his daughters, Britney Way, Kristen Way, Jessica Russell, Sarah Austin, and Amber Moore; his sons, Corey Moore and Casey Austin; and a "baseball team" of grandchildren: Chloe, Dalton, Gabriel, Caleb, Aiden, Zaine, Rydan, Rylan, Brylan, Sadie, Lukas, Miracle, Faith, and Madelyn. He is also survived by his sisters, Treasa House, Tammy Way, and Rebecca Repass; the mothers of his children, Melissa Austin and Lisa Moore; and his special friend, Glen Stapleton.
Visitation at Trinity Memorial on Monday, July 8th, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
