William Joseph Westhoff, age 72, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia on July 20, 1952, he was the son of the late William Joseph Westhoff and Carmela Mary (Serio) Westhoff. Bill was raised in the Philadelphia area and later made his home in Tennessee, where he spent his later years surrounded by family.
He lived in Colorado between 1970 and 2000, where he developed a deep love for the Denver Broncos and became a lifelong fan. While living in Denver, he took great pride in tending a large garden he loved dearly. Bill was a skilled carpenter by trade and had a passion for working with his hands. After moving to Tennessee, Bill worked for the law firm Wilson, Worley & Gamble, where he found fulfillment and purpose in his work.
Bill had a lifelong passion for scripture-he loved delving into the Bible, researching it deeply, and uncovering profound truths. He also enjoyed studying genealogy and took great interest in learning about his ancestry and family roots. His thoughtful nature, devotion to faith, and inquisitive mind touched all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Westhoff, who passed away in 1955.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Irene Westhoff; his sons, Charles William Westhoff and Norman William Westhoff; his sisters, Sara Westhoff (Tibor) and Margaret Kehs (Stephen); and his brother, Anthony Westhoff. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Amie Riner, and his brother-in-law, Tim Riner. Bill was like a father to Amie, and she loved him very much. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews who will remember him with great affection.
Bill will be remembered fondly by extended family and friends whose lives he touched. He will be honored with a private family service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Bill's memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity Memorial Center and East Lawn Cemetery.
